Business as usual during COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has created some new and unique challenges to GCF’s usual business process. In order to ensure the safety of its staff and reduce the potential for exposure, the Fund has restricted all non-essential travel and requested that GCF Personnel work remotely.

With the technical infrastructure and supporting resources already in place, some GCF staff have opted to work from their home countries. However, to ensure continuity of business functions, the Fund has activated its Business Continuity Plan and instituted mechanisms to safeguard efficient operations. The IIU would therefore like to take this opportunity to assure its stakeholders that the Unit remains open for business, and that its mandate is still being met with full operational capacity.

Please note that the IIU is currently limiting its physical participation in any local, national, or international engagements, and has instead opted to conduct meetings virtually. Although the team is now spread across six different time zones, more than half of us remain in the Republic of Korea and maintain our usual business hours. If you experience some turn-around delay, we apologise for the inconvenience and ask for your patience and understanding.

Our communication lines remain open and are monitored regularly. For reports on Prohibited Practices, you may reach us at [email protected]. For general enquiries, kindly contact [email protected].
