As the world urgently seeks solutions to combat climate change, the integrity of these efforts is increasingly under scrutiny. Corruption and integrity risks pose significant threats to the effectiveness and fairness of climate solutions, from policy formulation to the implementation of green technologies. These risks can manifest in various forms, including the misallocation of funds, manipulation of emissions data, and favoritism in awarding green contracts. Addressing these risks is crucial to ensuring that climate actions are both effective and equitable.

In this session, the Climate Finance Working Group will bring together experts to discuss the current state of play, insights from recent research and concrete cases from the Climate & Corruption Case Atlas.

The discussion will be moderated by Bayartsetseg Jigmiddash, Outreach and Engagement Manager at the Green Climate Fund.
