As the global community continues to grapple with the urgent challenges posed by climate change, the need for integrated and sustainable solutions has never been more critical. The interlinkages between climate action and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) highlight the importance of comprehensive strategies that address both environmental and socio-economic dimensions. This side event at COP 28 aims to delve into the nexus of SDGs and integrity in climate action, emphasizing the pivotal role of multi-stakeholder engagement in achieving sustainable futures. Objective: The primary objective of this side event is to facilitate a robust discussion on the synergies between climate action and the broader framework of sustainable development, emphasizing the significance of integrity in the process. Through exploring the benefits of multi-stakeholder engagement, the event aims to identify practical approaches for enhancing collaboration between governments, private sector entities, civil society, and other stakeholders to foster transparency, accountability, and integrity in climate initiatives.
