As GCF accelerates its ambitious goals for urgent climate action, it is essential to carry accountability and integrity in every step we take. Here are four integrity tools to help you in this mission:

When in doubt or have any concerns related to the reporting of Prohibited Practices and other forms of Wrongdoing, the IIU is only just an email away. Send any question or request for advice to [email protected], and the IIU team will respond to your query.

PRO TIP: Seek advice early. Preventing fraud and corruption is a race against time!

If you are in a situation where you think there is fraud, corruption, misconduct, or other Prohibited Practices, confidential and anonymous reporting to the IIU may be done by email, phone, or post. There is no format for reporting, simply provide as much information as you have on hand, and our Investigations team will be in touch with you.

Email: [email protected]
Phone: +82 32 458 6155 (UTC+9, Korea Standard Time)
Mail: 17F G-Tower, 175 Art Centre-daero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon 22004 Republic of Korea

PRO TIP: Feel free to file a report even if you feel that you don’t have all the evidences on hand. It’s the job of the IIU to find facts and determine if a report meets the criteria for Prohibited Practices. You can help us handle these cases more efficiently by providing as much information as you can.

GCF’s Policy on the Protection of Whistleblowers and Witnesses empowers you to step forward, report allegations of Prohibited Practices, and cooperate with the IIU without fear of retaliation.

PRO TIP: Maintaining confidentiality is critical to whistleblower/witness protection – but it’s a two-way street! Be mindful of what you share with others at the risk of compromising an ongoing investigation.

Investigations conducted by the IIU follow a fact-based methodology at par with international best practice. The IIU maintains objectivity, impartiality, and fairness throughout the investigation process, and performs its duties independently from the GCF Secretariat. The IIU actively seeks to protect confidential information and takes appropriate measures to mitigate against the disclosure of any non-public information associated with its investigations.

PRO TIP: Keep calm when you are invited for an interview as investigators are simply figuring out the facts of a case.
